Farm to Home Produce Pack

Through our Farm-to-Home Produce Pack Program, the UNC Farm at Penny Lane offers fresh produce grown on-site to individuals with a serious mental illness on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to improve mental and physical health for a nominal fee. Our crops are grown using organic practices by people living with mental health conditions, community volunteers, and staff.

To be program eligible, an individual should:

  • Receive a fixed income
  • Be coping with a chronic physical health issue
  • Have a family member or clinician willing to cook with individual and provide feedback to farm staff; and,
  • Be able and willing to pay for the entire season at the beginning of the season

Applications and/or referrals for this program are currently limited to certain UNC-affiliated ACTT providers we have existing relationships with. If you think your Team is interested or are not sure if your Team is already connected, please contact our Program Manager.
